Once you have joined, you may use the courts any day after 5:30 p.m. and all day Saturdays and Sunday. Obviously you cannot play on courts where matches are in progress, and social tennis takes priority at social tennis times

The basic adult membership entitles you to come to the club and play tennis on any spare courts that are available. If matches, match practice or social tennis are officially taking place these take priority on the courts. With the basic adult membership you can also play for club teams, take part in the club's American Tournaments. You may not use social tennis balls for your private games, but you may purchase them from the club at the prevailing price.

Social Add On - This allows you to take part in the club's social sessions on Saturdays and Tuesday evenings; new balls are provided regularly on Saturdays if no suitable used balls are available. You may also take part in the club's open and handicapped tournaments. The Intermediate / Student membership includes the social add on free of charge.

Making membership payments

Payments may be made directly into the club's bank account. Please remember to quote the member's name as the payment reference. Would members paying directly into the Bank Account please complete a membership form, and hand it to David or Elizabeth, so that we can keep our records up to date.

Or, you may pay by cheque made payable to Wakefield Tennis Club and handed to Hon.Treasuer Cathy Hampshire, David Burton or Elizabeth Burton at the Tennis Club in an envelope together with a completed membership form.

A £10 deposit is required for keys. This will give you a gate key card, access to the courts and also access to the lock-up room to be able to use balls. Only used balls may be used other than when new balls are supplied at a social session. If you require new balls at any other time, they may be purchased from the club. You must be a social tennis member to use club balls.

Only Team captains and committee members have pavillion keys.
